@beatchef this is Studioquality. IF you want high quality, realistic samples, get EWQL!

  2. Casey Bassett says:

actually they both suck to be honest….for noobs

  3. beatchef says:

Why, with all the gigabytes of samples they record from real strings, do they treat them in such a way that they sound like a bad synth pad? The demos in this sound pretty much what you can get out of a synth, very un-natural.

  4. nicktardifbass7 says:

So does this come w Kontakt 5 If I were to get Komplete 8????

  5. chaparganju says:

Super job by this guy when the genius Mr Eric Persing is just updating his years old Stylus Rmx! Stop providing us waveforms, provide us some new, flexible and musical technology like this.

  6. kiran phalke says:

Is there any song which uses the session strings? I would like to here a complete song made with this instrument. I have ordered it and eagerly waiting for that to arrive in India. Before that i want to listen

Session Strings Pro are -50% for the last day now, and I may go for it. This is not a cinematic library – Project SAM style – but may have some advantages on more scaled-down productions. The original NI demos on this one were horrible, showing the NI Battery functions more than the actual strings. Indeed this one sounds a bit stock, cheesy and plastic from time to time, but with the 50 percent discount the better features are enough bang for my buck I think. With the full retail price: never.

  8. WELSHMIKEY says:

I thought the same about the cinematic side of it but surprisingly I think it could when mixed with cinematic sounds. If you use something like evolve mutations 1 or 2 they compliment each other well. Not as well as symphobia but it still works and both are included in komplete 8 ultimate. Ive not got anything yet but plan to buy komplete 8 ultimate. I would love symphobia but I can get komplete 8 ultimate for less atm and it includes session stringg pro and the evolve bundle.

While I agree that some NI products aren’t the high end, depending on what you do, and keeping in mind that a lot of very good sample libs need Kontakt, I think Session Strings Pro (which I have not used I must admit) seems like they might sound really good for things like chamber music, string quartet writing within a mix, and 18th century style ensembles, (small room, small ensemble and bright not full) but this is clearly not a “cinematic” style of strings, nor have they even hinted at it b

  10. kiran phalke says:

I need strings. Does this compare with holywood strings? I donot know which to buy. What i need is a string ensemble. Which is a cheaper version if i require chorus effect like many viloins playing together

  11. zmallic says:

why is there no torrent link in the description ?

  12. Rafael Audi says:

    OMG I need that thing

  13. Anass Azzouz says:

i heard classical guitar at 01.36 !!! is it with the software ??

  14. IsaacDeanMusic says:

Is you caps lock key broken? Or is it your mind?

  15. BlackSoultan says:

Anyone who comes here and says NI is crap is clearly someone to ignore. All I use is NI, and that’s by happenstance. Someone gave me a Maschine, so I copped K7. I can tell you this: the music I make is good enough to wow many people, and it’s all NI down to the audio interface. It. Just. Works. But it’s up to you to try it and judge for yourself. No capslock from an unheard of “professional” should be your benchmark. Try it out.

I’ve used both NI and reFX and they are both good in their own right. To me reFX (particularly Nexus) is more late ’80s early ’90s ‘super synth’ sounds (think of a modern version of the synth – an Oberheim I think- used in ‘Jump’ by Van Halen). Also if you like that uber fat reverb euro dance club synth sound refx is good for that.

NI gives you huge flexibility and variety and I’ve always thought their modeled sounds spot-on.

Just thought I should comment given the ALL CAPS troll below

By the way I think these people who seem to be so excited about Native Instruments (Shit Instruments) are hired by Native Instruments to leave good comments here.

I have had this for about a week. Yes it is awesome!!!! they sit in the mix well. lots of different reverbs to choose from that are very natural. i love these. i do singersongwriter stuff , americana popish rock. weird i know but this really works for me. it sounds like a freakin full orchestra if you want it to or a nice single cello, violin, bass, viola . the stacato setting is so cool and you can change the swing . really cool

  20. Bgharar says:

Babak joon i totally agree with you dadashi well lesson learnt you shouldn’t pay for software unless you tried it first i know they don’t let you have a test run as we all do find a crack first then once you made money with it buy a proper one if you wanted ;) . NEXUS is a good shit let me know if you got it we can share our stuff . Ashkan

SOUNDS LIKE YOU’RE NOT VERY FAMILIAR WITH MUSIC PRODUCTION AND SPECIALLY SOUNDS! I DO MIX AND MASTER IN A PRO LEVEL AND THATS HOW I MAKE MONEY! SESSION STRINGS PRO IS A WASTE OF MONEY LIKE ANY OTHER PRODUCTS OF NATIVE INSTRUMENTS! GO AND LISTEN TO reFX NEXUS OR ANY OTHER PRODUCTS FROM reFX! HAVE A PLAY AND YOU WILL FIND OUT WHAT A GOOD SOUNDING PLUGIN IS!

  26. kairon156 says:

if you can speek the language or have a translator there for you it would make it easier. also you would have to cut all ties if you truly wanted to leave your life forever but I don’t think that would be necessary.

  27. CraneTVVideoMagazine says:

I made a violin once, it took me MONTHS time and time again I tryed to fix the keenks and finaly I was complete it was a……………..
picture of a box violin -_-

  33. Casey9784 says:

I personally think that you dont need alot o money to get a great violin. I purchased a knilling from a pawn shop that was just beat to hell. I paid 125 bucks for it. Then i spent about 150 having some minor repairs done and a month later when it was done my violin fixer offered me 800 bucks for it, just because of the sound. Not cause if looks or quality materials. I let him borrow it for his orchesta and some of his friends poked fun at him. That was until he played it. Its loud, full and can

  34. punkypenguin321 says:

What I like about violin (or any stringed instrument building) is that you don’t really need to go to a school to learn the craft. I learned to craft instruments off the internet and I was amazed at how good they were even then. Anybody can do it, all you need is practice so you can perfect. I suppose I also did well because a famous bow maker lives up the street from me.

  35. punkypenguin321 says:

    yes you can

  36. jeskehendriks says:

I want to learn how to make those! :O
