    Sub fo Sub, for beats

  8. BlackAera says:

lol for someone who is using “professional” tools he doesn’t seem to know much about other industry standard plugins…

  9. vidform says:

Is there an iPad app? Do I really need to buy a keyboard to use Session Strings? I’d like to just use my desktop or my iPad.

  10. Pantea Laurentiu says:

Where can i buy them from?

  11. Nicolas Mercier-Arseneau says:

”Any plug-in will work with pro tools as long as it’s RTAS or TDM”

you can use VST plugins with Pro Tools, you just need FXpansion VST to RTAS Adapter v2.0

  12. camodude009 says:

    Yes.

  13. Yikak4 says:

    Whoah… should I buy this?

  14. Daniel Cohen says:

Any plug-in will work with pro tools as long as it’s RTAS or TDM, especially anything to do with native instruments which has downloads with formats for to fit any DAW (AU, RTAS, TDM, VST, etc.)

  15. XxxscooterfortxxX says:

  18. Brandon Romauld says:

I agree. Session Strings seems like it would be a good type of string library for pop music (example: “Give Your Heart a Break” by Demi Lovato) , or even light scoring when you want a small string section like a quartet (example: Scoring the TV Drama “Desperate Housewives”).

  19. mead1955 says:

In addition to funk, you can use that animator for some film music. Just turn the groove and dynamics knob up, play a D minor chord, and go to town.

  20. DjK4Yahweh says:

    good stuff…blessinz!!

  21. Chainsawdomist says:

Of course it will. It’s a Kontakt library.

  22. Harrysound says:

Love this thing. Use it alot.
One thing that would be cool if you could hold a note on the kayboard then use the mod wheel to do the bow action……maybe one day someone will do this.

  23. Alxbeginner says:

You need NI kontakt, it’s a vst so if you have tht then…: YEAH!

  24. roskas4 says:

i just got it from the shop. so far very good. thanx N I

  25. PhoenixAxle7 says:

session strings is my best friend !! i am inviting my best friend to the party in my ears !!

  26. therealdcash says:

Hey man great videos. If you set up Kontakt to use multiple stereo outputs, then each Kontakt midi ch could have its own output. Just instead of using ableton midi tracks, you would have to use the “external instrument” tracks in ableton. You could then freeze those tracks, but you may not need to because you won’t have to use so many Kontakt instances.

  27. Daniel James says:

You can’t freeze multi timbral midi tracks. Which is how alot of my projects are set up.

  28. ramss says:

Actualy you can Freeze Tracks in ableton ….it will save cpu

  29. Tester2244 says:

Thing about program like this is, its for sound designers. Or someone who wishes to skip the theoretical part and toss it away, and fully focus on creativity in total. But again if ur not used to this kind of music exploration and looking for tweaks and different things, there are plenty of other vst’s out there :D But I think sound design is all about looking for mistakes and turning them into new things, instead of looking for perfection that never exists. My opinion.

  30. Ebo Roger says:

DANIEL THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE SOUNDS AND VIDEOS. BUT IF I COULD ASK, CAN YOU MAKE A VIDEO OF YOU CREATING A SCORE, SO WE UPCOMING ONES WILL KNOW THE STEPS TO FOLLOW. THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND KEEP SHINING

  31. Keith May says:

It was great to see someone take their time explaining this program. Very well done.

  32. KyleParkePlaysDrums says:

I’m watching this as I’m downloading Action Strings. Really really good video!

  33. Bashanvibe says:

thank u!!! i have watched many of your demonstrations on many VSTs I love how u explain things your tracks are musical & u have a sense of humor dont know if u trying to be but its funny which is refreshing

  34. Abu Noor says:

thanks man i watched it all and i learnt alot about this im sure going to get this when i have the money :D

  35. Daniel James says:

Its a very competitive industry. Work is never guaranteed and unless you are at the top of the game, the money can be quite low. In short, writing music isn’t the kind of thing you get into for the money ;)

  36. Daniel James says:

    A while ;)

  37. Daniel James says:

Adjust velocities and use a patch with round robin scripting.

  38. Daniel James says:

Play it in then quantize it by around 70% (to keep some of the natural fluctuation in live playing)

  39. Daniel James says:

Yes action Strings would work in cubase. It runs in the Kontakt engine.

  40. Jonathan Zuniga says:

Also, sorry to keep posting, but would action strings work with Cubase. And which synthesiser/host do you use?

  41. Jonathan Zuniga says:

Oh and let me add something to that. f you did it just by clicking it into the track, how would you get it to sound like the action strings instead of super chopy?

  42. Jonathan Zuniga says:

Daniel, I was wondering; if you don’t have action strings…how would you get sixteenth notes (faster notes) in? Because, when recording in MIDI, you probably won’t be able to play that fast since there are repeated notes. ( ie. The string sixteenth section.)

  43. Holy Theodore says:

    nicee composition bro

  44. XxXDevilRejectsXxX says:

would you say financially that film scoring is a safe route to go?

  45. Mike Rivera says:

what is your email again, I have some questions Id like to shoot your way without clogging up this comments section :)

  46. jamielongmusic says:

What other libraries can be heard in this track? There’s some good electro sounds in there… Cheers

  47. ZonkedGamer says:

What did you use for percussion?

  48. Jae Copeland says:

If you dont mind me asking, I was wondering whats the Specs to your computer? System, Ram, etc.

  49. John Melas says:

Seems like a great library, you can use it to get inspired by quick fix dynamics then go in and reprogram your own more elaborate lines. You can also use them to add dynamics in certain sections you already wrote i would imagine.

  50. Kris Sukkar says:

Very nice composition like always, you’re really doing a great job with these overviews and i listen to every each of your advises. Thank you for helping others that’s very nice of you. By the way i would like to know how do you proceed in your composition , do you start by building the beat with percusions and drums or by writing the melodies with the instruments?
